Exactly my problem with music right now. For every solution I try, there seems to be major downsides that push me to another service.
iTunes Match is a complete and utter mess (not to mention it’s super buggy), Rdio’s iOS apps aren’t as good as Apple’s Music.app, and well, Spotify isn’t available in Canada so I can’t really weigh-in on that one.
I’ve been switching between iTunes and Rdio as primary services for a while, and the only thing that truly holds me back from going all-in on Rdio is the content. A lot of music that I listen to comes from smaller labels and stores like Beatport, and most of these aren’t available on Rdio, which forces me to constantly switch between the two apps.
I hope someone fixes this. And I’m secretly hoping Rdio crushes Apple, but I don’t really know why.
We’ll see.
